Constructed inside an existing 42,000 sq ft two-storey concrete and steel building, this flexible office and studio space was organized to emphasize the base building’s linearity. Emphasizing the architect’s use of material layering, lighting was strategically applied with a focus on opacity, transparency and translucency, to meet programmatic needs across varying spatial typologies.
